Do you want to understand how to customize your WordPress theme?
Many WordPress themes have built-in customization features for the design and layout. Plugins can also be used to add extra customizing options.
We’ll teach you how to simply adjust your WordPress theme and make it your own in this article.
Why Should You Personalize Your WordPress Theme?
WordPress themes cater to a wide range of website niches. There are themes for various types of small business websites, photographers, bloggers, and more, for example.
After you’ve chosen a theme, you’ll need to customize it to meet your specific needs.
For example, you might want to use your own custom logo and brand colors, change the layout slightly, change font sizes, add your own images, and so on.
Some of these tweaks are required to create a website that accurately represents your company and brand, rather than just looking like everyone else’s.
These options may differ significantly from one WordPress theme to the next, depending on which theme you choose.
Some themes, for example, may give you the option to move the sidebar from right to left, while others may not have one at all.
As a result, let’s look at how to easily customize your WordPress theme without writing any code and take it to the next level without breaking your site.
Using the Theme Customizer by Default
In WordPress 5.9, WordPress introduced a full-site editing experience.
There aren’t many themes out there right now that fully support the new full-site editing feature.
We’ll show you how to use it to personalize your WordPress theme, though. We’ll also demonstrate how to use the legacy theme customizer and the complete WordPress site builder tool, which we recommend for beginners.
Customizing a WordPress Theme with the Full Site Editor
If your WordPress theme supports full site editing, the Editor menu will appear in the WordPress admin sidebar under the Appearance option.
It will open the full site editor when you click on it.
This editor works in the same way as the block editor that you use to create WordPress posts and pages.
Adding blocks to your templates allows you to add additional elements. You can use site-wide blocks like navigation, logos, post query loops, and more in addition to normal blocks.
Each block has its own settings, allowing you to customize it with different colors, typography, and other options.
Additional patterns may be included in your WordPress theme, which you may use to easily construct different sections.
These can be found under the Patterns tab.
By clicking on the template name at the top and selecting a different template to edit, you can edit different areas of your website.
To see more templates, go to the bottom of the page and click ‘Browse all templates.’
This will display a list of editable templates available in your theme.
To open a template in the editor, simply click on its name.
The template will appear in the same block editor as the previous one.
You can change it in any way you want from here.
Simply click the Save button at the top to apply your changes after you’re happy with the modifications you’ve made to your theme.
The comprehensive site editor allows you to tweak your WordPress theme in a powerful and flexible way.
However, because it is a fresh new function, many WordPress themes do not currently support it.
Using WordPress’s Legacy Theme Customizer
If your WordPress theme does not yet support the full site editor, it will fall back to the WordPress legacy theme customizer.
In that case, go to the Appearance » Customize page to customize your theme.
The Theme Customizer will open when you click on it.
On the left side of your screen, you’ll see customization options, and on the right, you’ll see a live preview of your website.
On the live preview, the editable areas of your website will be highlighted with a pencil icon.
You may also adjust the settings for each option on the left side by expanding it.
The number of options in the left panel varies depending on the theme.
The basics, such as your site’s tagline, widgets, homepage settings, menus, and Additional CSS settings, will be supported by most themes.
Customize Your WordPress Theme to Your Heart’s Content
Depending on which WordPress theme you’re using, the default theme customization options are different.
You may be able to customize a feature using the customizer or full site editor if your theme supports it. This limits the amount of customization you can do with a WordPress theme.

That concludes our discussion. This technique can be repeated to add more custom pages to your website.

In the right column, you’ll get a live preview of the template, and in the left column, you’ll see an editing panel.
To change any item or drop elements from the left column, simply point and click.
SeedProd also has blocks for editing the entire site.
You can use these dynamic blocks to display content loops (for blog entries), post titles, featured images, and more.
Don’t forget to Save your modifications after you’ve finished making changes to a theme.
Rep the procedure to customize other templates to your satisfaction.
When you’re done, go to SeedProd » Theme Builder and set the switch next to the ‘Enable SeedProd Theme’ option to ‘Yes.’
